Gusie's Cafe Catering Order Policy


Catering & Order Policy

Effective Date: November 28, 2025
By placing an order with Gusie’s Cafe, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are strictly enforced to ensure the quality of our service and the efficiency of our operations.

1. Order Lead Times & Booking

  • Large Catering Orders: All large orders (e.g., foil pans, event catering) require a strict minimum of 7 days' notice. Final menu selections must be confirmed no later than 7 days prior to the event. Late requests may be rejected or subject to a rush fee at our sole discretion.
  • Small Orders: Limited daily items (e.g., individual Baked Fish and Attiéké) require a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Fulfillment is subject to ingredient availability and production capacity.


2. Payments & Deposits

  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required immediately upon booking to secure your date and menu. No dates are held without a deposit.
  • Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full 7 days prior to the event date. Failure to pay the balance by the deadline may result in immediate cancellation of your order and forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Pricing: Prices are subject to change based on market rates. Quotes are valid for 14 days from issuance.


3. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: As stated above, all deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation > 7 Days Out: Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the event will incur a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the total order value. Any funds paid above this amount will be refunded.
  • Cancellation < 7 Days Out: Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will result in 100% forfeiture of all monies paid (deposit and final balance). No refunds or credits will be issued, as ingredients and labor have already been committed.


4. Menu Customization & Allergens

  • Customization: Custom requests must be finalized at the time of booking. Significant changes requested after booking may incur additional charges or may not be accommodated.
  • Allergen Disclaimer: While we attempt to accommodate dietary requests, our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely allergen-free. Customers assume all liability for allergic reactions.


5. Delivery & Service

  • Delivery: Delivery windows are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or site access issues.
  • Set-Up & Staff: Setup fees and staffing charges are separate and must be contracted in advance. Unless explicitly agreed upon in writing, orders are "drop-off" only.

Gusie’s Cafe reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Policy terms are subject to change without notice.
